The Bleacher Report released their list of the Top 25 WRs in Big 12 history earlier this week and more than a few Texas Tech wide outs made the list. Five Red Raiders grace the Top 25, which was tops along with Oklahoma State for number of players on the list.

Not surprising is that all five players selected to the list played under former head coach Mike Leach. Leach's "Air Raid" was the talk of the nation for his entire ten year tenure at Texas Tech as many believe the Red Raiders were the best passing team of the 2000s.

Former Texas Tech WR Nehemiah Glover is the first Red Raider to make an appearance on the list. Glover kicks things off for Tech by showing up at No. 20. Glover played at Texas Tech from 2001-2004 and is in the top 10 for several receiving categories at Tech.

A pair of Red Raiders show up, back to back, in the top 10.Jarrett Hicks makes a splash on the list at No. 14 with Carlos Francis taking the spot atop him at No. 13.

Many also considered  Hicks, who played at Tech from 2003 to 2006, to be the best route runner in Red Raider history. Hicks did have some disciplinary hiccups along the way but finished his career with 198 catches and 2859 yards. Hicks also is in the top 5 in Red Raider football history when it comes to career receiving touchdowns as he finished with 30.

Carlos Francis played at Texas Tech during the first years of Mike Leach (2000-2003). He was also the first Red Raider receive to be selected in the NFL Draft in the 2000s. Francis, who was a small 5'10", is still one of only 11 players to finish their Big 12 career with over 3,000 yards receiving. Francis also finished his career with 216 career receptions, 21 of those being for a touchdown.

The underdog's hero, Wes Welker, cracked the Top 10 on the list by coming in at No. 8. Wes had an extremely successful career as a Red Raider (2000-2003), finishing with 259 career receptions (a record for a Tech receiver) and 3069 career receiving yards.

Welker was equally known for his special team production. Statistically, Welker is the best punt returner in Big 12 history as he holds the record for most punt returns  (152), most return yards (1761) and the most touchdowns (8).

It's no real surprise to see who is the highest ranked Red Raider receiver in the Big 12, and it's also not surprising to see him named the all time best WR in Big 12 history. Coming in as the top ranked receiver in the Big 12 is none other than Michael Crabtree. Crabtree shattered records along the way as a Red Raider finishing with back to back Biletnikoff Awards (07-08).

Crabtree only played two full seasons at Texas Tech as finished his career with unmatched numbers. Crabtree set Big 12 freshman single season records with 134 catches for 1962 yards and 22 TDs. He finished his career with 231 catches, 3127 yards, 41 TDs. Crabtree was a first round selection of the San Francisco 49ers in 2009.

There is one Red Raider who could have also been considered for this list. Joel Filani had a successful career at Texas Tech and led the team in receiving yards and touchdowns in multiple seasons. Filani was a First Team Big 12 selection in 2005 and 2006.
