A West Texas native is serving his country and helping to bring in the next president, Donald Trump.

U.S. Air Force Colonel Jon Julian, a Floydada native, has joined the Joint Task Force - National Capital Region and is helping to coordinate all military ceremonial support for the inauguration of America's 45th president Friday, January 20th.

"I'm honored to represent the Air Force on a historic day. I want our new President to be proud of our Armed Forces and our precision," said Col. Julian.

All branches of the military are involved in this inaugural period. Since 1789, they have honored every incoming commander-in-chief. Participation by the armed forces includes musical units, color guards, salute batteries and honor cordons.
