Heathen, Driver and I needed a break after setting up for the Jack White concert and decided to walk over to Diablo's. The place is at 1939 Buddy Holly Avenue, so it was just a short walk from Wild West.

Let's be clear here, I know nothing of what the long term plans or vision for the property are, I can only tell you that it's very cool.  The place features a really cool fenced in patio with a nice sized stage for live music.  Inside it's plush with giant over sized booths for you and your friends to snuggle up in.  The main bar was huge and well stocked, but the patio bar was the one seeing all the action on a nice West Texas afternoon. I saw some nice frozen margarita machines swirling around and I'm a sucker for those!  I can't quite figure out if the open space on the other end of the room is intended to be a dance floor or not.  The other thing I can't quite put a finger on is, it seems to be a really nice, really gorgeous big bar with good food, even though the name would lead you to believe it's a restaurant that happens to have a bar.  This isn't to slight the food, in fact, the street tacos are already getting rave reviews.

I now nothing of hours or events at this time, all I know is, if you see the doors open, GO ON IN! I'm just posting this blog for those of you who were curious about the place like I was.  Here's a link to their Facebook page.
