For the past three years we have attended the Pumpkin Trail sponsored by the Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department, if you have never been, let me tell you it is a pretty neat event and a great way to get some ideas on how to carve and decorate your own pumpkins for Halloween.

If you happen to consider yourself a Jack-O-Lantern master you might even want to carve and donate your own creations to be displayed for everyone in the community to enjoy.

Now through next Wednesday October 17, 2012 you can take you creation for donation and drop it off at to the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum , 4111 University Ave. here in Lubbock.

Last year the trail displayed a whopping 1,758 carved pumpkins, this years goal is to have at least 2,000, that a lot of pumpkin seeds...

The Pumpkin Trail will be held  October 18 - 21, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday and Sunday, and 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
