Frenship Teacher Probably Deserves A Second Chance

The Frenship Teacher who unleashed a total five star racist diatribe has released an apology. I think that is a huge step forward in the healing process.  I would suggest a little classroom monitoring, which I bet she would end up passing with flying colors.

The problem with most people with racist tendencies is they don't realize they have them. It isn't that they hate people of a particular color, but they don't understand them.  Sure there are people who hate, but this lady probably never would have go this far if she was one of them. She has learned a valuable lesson and our lesson to her should be, a mistake was made, let's work on it and move forward.

We are not going to get anywhere by tar and feathering everyone who makes a mistake. We have to give them and others the benefit of the doubt and give them a chance to show their true heart. I was impressed with both the rapidity and the wording of her apology. It may be hard for her to continue because there may be some parents unimpressed with her apology. The story is no blowing up on national media and that's not going to help either.

I came down on her  as hard as anybody. She deserved it. She has also acknowledged it, it, apologized and is ready to move forward. We should be too.
