A couple of weeks back, KISS' Gene Simmons revealed his intent to get involved with producing horror movies while appearing as a special guest on the Talk Is Jericho podcast with Chris Jericho. Now additional details have been revealed.

According to Variety, Simmons has teamed with WWE Studios to launch a new label called Erebus Pictures to finance and produce movies. The alliance is starting with a three-picture co-production deal starting with a film called Temple, which was originally acquired and developed by WWE Studios.

"The horror genre continues to fascinate me as it proves to be endlessly thrilling and engaging for audiences," said Simmons in a statement. Meanwhile, WWE Studios president Michael Luisi added, "Horror films fall into a genre that thrives on genuine passion and I believe this partnership truly capitalizes on that sentiment and supports our vision."

As stated, a film called Temple will kick off the partnership. The movie follows a team of trained operatives who find themselves trapped inside an isolated military compound after their artificial intelligences is shut down. Over time, they begin to experience strange and horrific phenomena. Principal photography is expected to start this summer.

In his recent Talk Is Jericho appearance, Simmons also teased a film called Devil's Triangle, but there is no word in the partnership story as to when that movie will be addressed. Read and hear more of a Simmons discussing his fascination with horror films here.
