A little known fact about myself is that I worked for the Texas Department Of Transportation for 10 years for Post Maint. out of Garza County.

I have been with Lubbock's Rock Station for 6 years now and full time for 2 1/2 years, so I worked for TXDOT full time and FMX part time until I was offered a full time gig at FMX and I decided to leave TXDOT and further my radio career.

Now with all this crazy weather upon us and having PLENTY of snow plowing experience across the state of Texas, I can say this to you when it comes to driving in Winter Weather.

1. SLOW DOWN

2. GIVE YOURSELF PLENTY OF TIME TO GET WHERE YOU ARE GOING

3. IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO GET OUT IN THE WEATHER, THEN DON'T

4. IF YOU COME UP ON A TXDOT VEHICLE, DON'T PANIC! GIVE THEM PLENTY OF ROOM TO DO WHAT THEY DO BEST AND THEY WILL GET YOU TO WHERE YOU ARE GOING SAFELY

It really is that simple when it comes to driving in the Winter Weather. It really is that simple to just take your time and slow down. I have seen it over and over again vehicles sliding into the ditch just because they were driving to fast.

I would like to personally thank TXDOT for keeping the Texas Highways safe for all of us that travel the roads of Texas.
