Goodbye Goober Pyle

George "Goober" Lindsey has passed away, he was age 83.  More after the jump.

George Lindsey basically made a living playing "Goober" starting on "The Andy Griffith Show", moving on to "Mayberry R.F.D." , then starring on Hee Haw for twenty years.

Anybody who hasn't spent a day watching old episodes of Andy Griffith, just hasn't lived.  That show is still funny.

For some reason this scene from Andy Griffith really cracked us up. When you think about it, it's pretty post-comedy comedy he's doing at the time. I love jokes like this that are all build up, then a ridiculous followup.  Spend a minute and a half saluting the laughs brought to us by George "Goober" Lindsay.
