I don't know why this movie didn't get a wide release. It's funny, heartwarming and exiting.  The best part is, it's playing right now on Showtime and you can pull it right up On Demand.  More after the jump.

Sean William Scott stars in "Goon".  You know the guy as "Stifler" from the American Pie movies. He was also excellent in "Role Models".  We took a chance on the movie because the guy just makes me laugh.  In "Goon" he plays a guy who goes from bouncer to professional hockey player.  He starts out as the teams 'enforcer' but quickly inspires the team.

The movie starts out vile.  It's just filthy, especially, but not limited to, the language.  It's bloody, violent and even cute at times. I'm a fan of Adam Sandler movies. I also love The 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up and pretty much everything Will Ferrell does.  I guess if you make an effort to make me laugh, I'm gonna laugh.  If you're in the mood for a laugh, or even an inspiring sports story, give "Goon" a try. If you like the trailer, you'll like the movie. Here's the trailer.

One little side note. This movie gave me a great version of a quote I love "Play Like Your Supposed To Be Here".  I just love that.
