Governor Greg Abbott just may be as nutty as an elephant turd. Then again, he may just be indulging in some very dangerous political posturing. He literally just pulled a "Texas Two-Step" by pulling a pair of bonehead moves at once.

First off Governor Abbott released a statement/warning that Texas voted that marriage is "Between a man and a woman" and that he "sincerely hopes the U.S. Supreme Court will respect the sovereign right of States to defend marriage".  Taken alone, this statement has all of the scare factor of an old man shaking a cane and telling kids to get off his lawn. THEN, the Governor knocked himself off the front page by playing to the lunatic fringe in Texas.

As you may know there are some paranoid doofuses giving themselves the Hershey squirts over "Operation Jade Helm".  Instead of directing these folks to use their foil hats to wrap up a to-go order of barbecue, Abbot legitimized their paranoia by directing the Texas State Guard to monitor the U.S. Forces in Operation Jade Helm.

Ladies and gentlemen the fine men and women of the United States Military don't need to be "monitored". They know their mission and this type of interference is not necessary. We don't need Texas troops eyeballing U.S. troops. We don't need to instigate a confrontation between state and national forces. I know you all want to believe that Texas could survive without being part of the U.S., but it's just not true.

Abbott has made a real habit of showing his middle finger to the U.S. Government; that's on him. He's now putting innocent Texans in front of U.S. guns and that is unbelievable and unnecessarily stupid.
