A lot of times the Lubbock City Council presents, and even passes, proposals that most regular citizens don't even know are on the agenda.

Shame on us!

As adults (even young adults and children) we all need to pay more attention to what's going on around us in our city.

Did you know Lubbock Mayor Dan Pope, holds a coffee with the Mayor event each month?

These events are opportunities for local citizens to hear what's on the agenda and the plans the Mayor has for our city, right from his mouth.

Not only does it give the Mayor a chance to talk to us, it gives us a time to talk to the Mayor and ask him questions that we otherwise would be unable to.

Coffee with the Mayor will take place April 12th in the coffee shop of the Pioneer Hotel located at 1204 Broadway #105 beginning at 7:30 a.m.

He's a pretty cool dude...
