Of course, we probably all saw the triple overtime victory for Texas Tech over the TCU Horned Frogs, but that wsan't the only exciting game that came down to the wire this weekend...

Other notable games that were exciting in the closing minutes include #5 Notre Dame holding on against a stingy BYU team, #6 LSU refusing to lose against #18 Texas A&M in College Station, #11 Georgia edging out Kentucky by five, #16 Louisville coming away with a two-point win USF, #21 Cincinatti getting taken out by Toledo, and of course, Texas holding on by six in a shootout against Baylor in Austin.

That was just college football.

Sunday showcased great NFL games as well, and my Titans even won!

The Titans executed a touchdown, orchestrated by Matt Hasslebeck slinging the ball around and finding Nate Washington for a touchdown with 1:07 left to go in regulation. The Titans would hold on to win 35-34 in Buffalo.

Two games went to overtime, as the ever-so-cool Sebastian Janikowski kicked the Jaguars out of Oakland 26-23, and the New England Patriots holding on against the rival New York Jets 29-26.

New Orleans held on in Tampa Bay, coming out on top in the final seconds to win 35-28.

In baseball news, the San Francisco Giants trounced the St. Louis Cardinals for the NLCS championship in a winner-take-all game 7 by a score of 9 to 0. The Giants will take on the ALCS champion Detroit Tigers, who swept the Yankees.
