Born and raised in Lubbock, Daniel Green graduated from Coronado High School. He was a member of the Lubbock Youth Symphony Orchestra before attending Texas Tech and South Plains College where he studied music. Music was Daniel's life, his love and his passion. Daniel Green was a phenomenal percussionist, and a great friend who was tragically shot and killed on October 16, 2008, in a road rage incident following a minor traffic accident.

GreenFest is a fundraiser to celebrate the life of Daniel Green and to raise funds for a music scholarship to be given to South Plains College music students. Greenfest will be held November 2nd from 6pm until 2am at Bash Riprock’s 2 in the Depot District at 19th and I-27 and will include live music from 7 bands, silent and live auctions, a 50/50 drawing, and door prizes.
