Ladies and gentlemen, Greta Van Fleet will “absolutely” be releasing their debut album in 2018. The throwback rock ’n’ roll phenoms are aiming to unveil their highly anticipated full-length in late summer.

After their explosive performance this weekend at Rock on the Range, guitarist Jake Kiszka and bassist Sam Kiszka sat down with us to talk all about their budding career. In a Loudwire exclusive, the brothers revealed Greta Van Fleet’s plans for their yet-untitled debut.

“We’re in the mixing process, so it’s going to be quite soon,” says Jake. “We’re wrapping it up, so we’re hoping to release that absolutely this year.”

“We had all these songs we wrote three to five years ago that we were just going to put on the album. It very quickly became all new material, so I’d say about three-quarters of the songs are songs we wrote in the studio,” Sam adds. “It just happened very quickly, we got everything done in two weeks. We were aching to make this album.”

Greta Van Fleet have stuck with Al Sutton and Marlon Young to produce the full-length, as the duo recorded both Greta’s Black Smoke Rising and From the Fires EPs.

Get excited for GVF2018 and look for our exclusive interview with the brothers coming soon.
