The show Saturday at the Amp was seriously one of the best I've seen in a very long time, and I've seen some good ones.

First off, I want to make a point as to how cool Axl was through the entire show. We've all heard about and seen the type of guy he can be, but last night he proved he can be one hell of a cool dude, and he put on an incredible show to boot.

The band, however, took a "incredible show" to the next level. I haven't heard a band near as tight or fresh-sounding as these dudes. DJ Ashba, Bumblefoot, Richard Fortus, Dizzy Reed, everyone, all of them, settled in their grooves and nailed every piece without a hitch.

Another thing I sorely enjoyed: PYRO. Dude, who doesn't love pyrotechnics?! That was rad.

Young artists, hell, any performing musician, take a note, maybe even a page out of GnR's book and apply it to what you do.
