I am what is called a Brand Manager. these days. It means I supervise all the products under the FMX logo. It's my job to protect the integrity of what it stands for after nearly three-and-a-half decades.

The job has been a bit tougher over the last few years because we've added the world of digital.

Some people don't get the concept of several products -- in this case, radio, online and live events under one logo.

Look at it this way: Nestle makes chocolate, dog food and weight loss products. These are all very different and affect your life in different ways. But they're all under the Nestle brand.

With that said, I want to say thank you to the folks who have stuck with us as we've explored these new areas. Just as all the Nestle products listed above are food related, everything we do is entertainment related.

We have to constantly churn out music on the radio, blogs to read, awesome videos on our YouTube channel and, to some degree, events to go to. When you have to do this constantly, some people are going to find some elements that they don't like. I appreciate the people that can see past that and realize that we're just doing our best to keep things interesting.

Now the more you drill down, the more intense things can get. The RockShow gets a bit more heat than the radio station, and I get a bit more heat than the RockShow. No big deal, we can all take it. We still have the number one radio station among adults, the number one morning show in mornings and I'm number one on Saturdays.

We also have the number one online brand at kfmx.com. All of that is because of you, and on this day I wanted to let you know that we are very, very thankful for it.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend full of friends, family and a bit of rock. Be careful out there, and be awesome to each other.

- Wes
