Help Stop Date-Rape Before It Happens to You or Someone You Know. [VIDEO]

Even though to some of us the thought of being "roofied" seem like a thing of the past, it is still an everyday and all too common occurrence. One Company is trying to change that for the better.

Drink Savvy is a company, that is still trying to find enough funding (click to donate) to mass produce an all new line of defense against being drugged unknowingly. They have developed new technology that discreetly detects the presence of "date rape" drugs in someone's drink. They have many prototypes in development including color-changing drink straws, plastic cups, and even glasses. Simply put the bar ware can chemically detect the drugs, and change color to alert the individual that drugs are present.

This is obviously a brilliant idea, and I hope they can get funded well enough to make these a common item being used in many bars across the world. Since date-rape is a societal cockroach, we all know it happens but it is rarely brought into the light, this could stop it from happening in thousands of cases. Remember, it could be your daughter, sister, wife, or even you that's a victim one day. Since it's almost impossible to tell if a drink has been drugged, and if it has been who drugged it, this could be one of the few solutions to an epidemic. Watch their video about it here.
