People are far too complex to be categorized and put in little ideological boxes. Personalities are as different as fingerprints.

So I thought I'd compose a little list of things I'm "for" just to use as an example.

I stand wholeheartedly behind these things and ideas:

Regular Blood Donation

Festival Concerts

Hamburgers

Fair and Equal Treatment Of All People

Cake

Supporting Our Police

Drinks With Friends

As Much Beach Time As Possible

Vaccinations

Legalization of Pot

Loud Music

No Kill Animal Shelters

Now, do you see what I did there? I am FOR more than one thing. These days people assume that if you are for something, then you must be against something. It's just not true. I have plenty of stuff that I'm for, and plenty that I'm against, and it's not up to you or anybody else to make any assumptions, or cast any aspersions.

Supporting police and supporting treatment for all people are not mutually exclusive ideas. You can also support good police, while not supporting bad police. This means you can also support the good ideas behind a protest, while not supporting all of the ideas behind a protest.

This is real life. This isn't a schoolyard pick'em where you have to chose a side.  You can choose all sides, some of the sides or none of the sides.  Now, go be awesome to each other.
