Honor Our Hero’s On This Pearl Harbor Rememberance Day

Today is Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. I found a very cool five minute piece with a veteran talking about not only the events of that day, but events leading up to it as well.  Spend a few moments remembering this tragic day in our history next.

 

John Ballard tells his story of the attack on Pearl Harbor.  There’s no writing or manufactured drama here, it’s just one mans experience as war broke out in paradise. Imagine going from farm boy to being right in the middle of a Japanese attack. John tells the story with little emotion even when he’s spelling out some grisly details.
