I've got bad news for you, you need to throw those Thanksgiving leftovers out today.

Experts have a general rule, and it's pretty simple; leftovers should be thrown out after three to four days. So let's count-Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday/You're done-day. If you are fudging a bit, or for future reference, make sure you heat them up to 165 degrees for safer eating.

Now lets say you were a good person and you threw those cooked turkey leftovers into the freezer, how long can you wait before you circle back and eat them? This is where the good news is, you have four to six months to eat it. Now, if you ended up with a whole bird that you didn't cook, and you kept frozen, you're good for up to nine months.
