I have to say I was pretty frustrated knowing that Hurt was in the area and not booked to play the GNR show. Then Hurt was booked to play a happy hour party at FUBAR. Now, they will be making that FUBAR gig an acoustic show and will hit the stage at the Amp at 10:00 p.m. to open for Guns N' Roses.

Guns N' Roses fans are in for an absolute treat. Hurt is one of the most amazing live acts anywhere, and they do it all with just the music. I've been to a thousand shows where you didn't care or even remember the opening acts. Hurt will suck you in and make you a fan almost instantly. J. Loren's charisma and showmanship is unmatched. The bands near orchestral arrangements and bombastic songs are a perfect match for Guns N' Roses. I'm hoping that Axl himself recognizes this and picks up J. Loren to add some violin to "November Rain" in future gigs.

Gates for this Saturday's show at the Amp are at 8:30 p.m.  The show may last until 2 or 3 a.m. Prepare accordingly. Also, speaking as someone who is out there every weekend, I would encourage you to spray yourself down with some mosquito spray!!!

Here's the whole scoop on Guns N' Roses (minus the stuff you just read).
