Ian Moore And the Lossy Coils Destroy Backstage/Lubbock [VIDEO]

woody

The moment I stepped into Backstage last night, I could feel that special vibe in the air.

Ian Moore and his band the Lossy Coils literally destroyed it; blowing through a 2 hour and 10 minute set of blistering old-school Texas blues to the delight of a more than enthusiastic crowd.

From the rollicking cover of Texas legend Doug Sahm’s “At The Crossroads” to the funky Americana version of “Muddy Jesus” and the scathing “Blue Sky”, Ian and the band were simply spot on.

This man is a master behind the guitar and he showed just about everything he knew on Friday night.

I have to give a shout out to singer/songwriter Spivey who displayed some serious chops of his own.

Check out these tasty licks…
