I think you guys would probably agree, at the very least, that I'm not stupid.  Don't worry, I'm not going to make you say I'm smart, let's just settle on "not stupid", okay?

I found football right when my parents had split up. It was a family. It was also the first time I've ever been a part of a team. First EVER. I did no little league, nothing. I was a freshman in high school the first time I ever played any organized sport.  Things got even weirder when I moved to Texas as a junior and didn't know anybody, except the guys on my football team.  I'll tell you this, if my coach told me to do something, I'd do it. I'd do it out of loyalty and I'd also do it out of ignorance. I would probably had done it out of meanness as well. So, I'm not saying what these kids did was right, but I am saying that for many players, you do what the coach tells you and these guys claim the coach told them to do it.  They may have thought it was a good idea or they may have done it out of fear of losing their place on the team or running laps the next day. Let's just remember what football means in Texas, and around these parts, most players would do what the coach told them to do.
