If you think we're taking the threat of the zombie apocalypse too far, you haven't seen anything yet.

This interactive map called Zombietown USA is:

"...a disease dynamic simulation of zombism across the USA.  We use Gillespie dynamics on block-level census data from 2010 using 308 million people interacting across the continental US."

In other words, you can click anywhere on the map to see how far the zombie infection will spread down to seconds.

Luckily for Lubbock, if Texas gets hit it will take many days to reach us as it follows the path of the most dense population.

Needless to say, the people behind this map put a lot of time and effort into making this. The scary part is how many people are going to use this as a serious tool to prepare for the outbreak.

I love my zombies and "The Walking Dead," but it's all in good fun...hopefully.
