It's no secret that thousands, if not millions of people torrent music, among other things, off of the internet. Well, Iron Maiden's found a way to combat the piracy, and it's pretty genius.

Check this out: the band has hired the services of a website named Musicmetric to find out where the most downloads and interest of their music is coming from. Then, after they gather and read through the data, they schedule the shows where the most interest comes from.

I'd say that's a great idea, especially from a band that's been around for decades. Not only are they going to the places that love them most, they're going to earn money to go play for those people. This kind of ingenuity is more than likely why the band is still alive and kicking very hard today.

Up the Irons!
