I still don't believe either party is capable of pulling the U.S. more than a few percent either way. I think they only make what they think is tiny course corrections while we the people keep things moving straight ahead.

As for President Trump, I don't believe he has a bad or callous heart (in fact, it's tough for me to believe anyone does). I believe he was a man, out of his element, doing the best he could. I personally prefer him over members of his party's establishment because I think his views are actually much more moderate than what he said on the campaign trail.

You'll be hearing a lot of people saying "at the end of the day, we're all Americans." That's a decent sentiment, but I'd prefer this: "At the end of the day, we're all humans." And more often than not, we find a way to do right by each other.
