So with all that being said, what are the intriguing match-ups during bowl season that are possible right now? Let's take a look at some enticing predictions.

The Playoff Four certainly might not be the same come this time next week, but for now, it'd make sense Clemson and Iowa were both in the Orange Bowl, as Alabama would take on Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl. Now, let's not forget that Clemson has to play North Carolina, who has rocketed up the polls, Alabama has to play a good Florida team, and Iowa and Michigan State might bludgeon each other. Right now, however, those match-ups aforementioned make sense.

Now, on to some other games that are just as enticing or more relevant to you.

We'll start with the hometown Red Raiders. Where do they go? Most predictions this week have Tech playing the hated, maroon-clad Aggies from College Station. That bowl would be the Texas Bowl down in Houston. I'd personally love to see an old rivalry be rekindled, plus there're storylines aplenty. Another possibility could be the Liberty Bowl against someone like LSU, but time will tell and I doubt the Red Raiders leave the state.

Other big projections include Notre Dame against Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl, Stanford playing Iowa/Michigan State in the Rose Bowl, and even Ole Miss facing Baylor in the Sugar Bowl. TCU is projected to play Oregon in the Alamo Bowl, says Fox Sports, and ESPN seems to the think former Tech coach Mike Leach might be leading his team down to Vegas to play San Diego State.

The crystal ball will only get clearer as we move forward to next week, so stay tuned, folks...
