James Garner Passes Away At Age 86 [VIDEO]

James Garner has passed away.  Everyone seems to be mentioning his starring roles in "The Rockford Files" and "Maverick".  Some of you will know him from "The Notebook" or "8 Simple Rules".  Those don't even come close to my favorite role(s).

Sure this guy may be a little before your time but there are two movies I can recommend right now that I GUARANTEE you will really enjoy. Those would be the comic westerns "Support Your Local Sheriff" and "Support Your Local Gunfighter".  Garner pretty much sets the mold for the "wise-cracking hero and/or ant-hero" in these two movies.  Heck, I'd say he cements that type and then freezes it in carbonite (carbonite being the substace Han Solo was froze in, and is also a perfect example of a James Garner type performance).   Netflix either of these movies or check your cable channels.  These movies were pretty much before my time too, but I've probably watched each one ten times. I can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday than watching old westerns and burning some meat later on (while you rock with FMX, of course).
