Well it appears we've heard the last of "Jesus Tattoo".  I will say at the end of the day that I have the highest respect for David L. Miller and the crew at Little Pencil, but it's time to put an end to this.

The campaign cause a bit of controversy in Lubbock for a number of reasons. Chief among those reasons for me was that it was all done anonymously, so that when the press swooped down to report on it, there was no one around to answer questions.  Some conservative Christians also hated the campaign, not "getting" the analogy of tattoos representing sins.

The Jesus Tattoo folks had been suing L.I.S.D. for refusing to show the ad.  L.I.S.D. prevailed in court last Friday when the original ruling was affirmed by an appeals court.

We had Mr. Miller on the RockShow for a fun discussion on the matter.  I must say he's a true gentleman who believes in his convictions. This is one of those weird situations where I believe justice prevailed, but a friend ultimately lost.  As I mentioned in the interview, there were no real winners possible in this lawsuit.

Here's hoping that everyone can now put this behind us and move on.
