Thousands of you were all out at the Big Purple Party last night, but there was still NASCAR to be seen, and for those of you who missed out, check out the recap right here.

There were a couple of headlines that came from the Memorial Day weekend race, as we had another new winner this year, and it took a surprising amount of time, as five-time champ Jimmie Johnson finally grabbed the checkered flag.

Another big part of the race was the participation of Kurt Busch, seeing as he was a contender in the Indianapolis 500 just hours before the race in Charlotte. That's pretty sweet.

The race was quite a show, with the ever-present Kevin Harvick doing everything to reel Johnson in during the closing laps, though the 48 was just too much. Matt Kenseth, Carl Edwards and Jamie McMurray rounded out the top five.

Next week we head to Dover, Delaware for the race at the "Monster Mile".
