I don't understand why a Christian business would want to discriminate against someone with non-Christian views. It would seem to me that the Christian thing to do would be to treat them like anyone else and pray for them. At least that's what I learned in 35 years as a Christian.

Recently, it became an issue when a cake shop took, then halted, an order when they found out it was for a lesbian wedding.

The were then sued for discrimination and will now have to pay up big time.

The court decided that the bakery wasn't a religious institution and that the owners had violated Oregon law.

There are certain Christians who want to claim that their free speech is being violated when they have to provide services for people who behave contrary to their beliefs. This is where everything gets weird.

Let's be clear: The people who have this view are a very, very small minority of the Christian faith.

It's my belief that they should be allowed to refuse service to whoever they want, but the rest of us should be made aware of it. It's only fair that we know who we are dealing with.

My idea is simple. Christian business who wish to not do business with gay people should have to put a giant "no gays" sign or something to that effect on their door. That way, they can have their free speech, while the public can make a decision if they want to do business with them or not.

I believe that the majority of the free market will show them VERY quickly that their views are not acceptable by not doing business with the bigots.
