Lt. Governor Dan Patrick Calls Dallas Protesters Hypocrites

Let's get this straight. Dan Patrick was elected Lt. Governor because 1) He has a familiar sounding name. And 2) He had an (R) at the end of his name. This guy is far too clueless, tactless and way too hateful to be elected for any other reason.

Dan Patrick and Sarah Palin could literally be the prom king and queen of Derpville. Unfiltered garbage just falls from their mouths, and the worst of the worst of their party's bases just eat it up.

In this time of national mourning, Patrick said on Fox News:

"All those protesters last night, they turned around and ran the other way expecting the men and women in blue to protect them. What hypocrites!"

So, let's dissect.

We had a peaceful Black Lives Matter protest, where police and protesters treated each other with love and respect. This gathering was ruined by a crazy man who killed and injured police and some civilians, and it's "hypocritical" to ask the police to do their job? Don't you think maybe that this is what this protest was all about? Fair and equal treatment by police. As a matter of fact, let's not even assume that these protesters were protesting the Dallas Police (which has a great record in these areas, I'm told), but more so the cops across the country that give the good cops a bad name.

Despite what some of you think, and what some of the haters will write about this blog, this isn't an "us against them" issue. Sure, there are some racists that wish it was. After all, trying to understand other people sometimes makes the dummies' heads hurt. Dan Patrick is an "us against them" guy. At a time when even Texas' very partisan Governor is calling for unity, Patrick runs his mouth like the ignorant rube that he is.

Patrick's insensitive comments and completely inappropriate sense of timing have once again put Texas in the headlines across America. He has now walked back his comments, like he's been forced to do before. It's just pretty obvious to me that this guy is a bit of a derp and not ready for prime-time.
