Lt. Governor Is Choosing The Wrong Time To Fight With The U.S. Government

Dang my editor! He taught me to write more literal headlines. The headline I wanted was "Dan Patrick Schedule To Step On His Own D*ck Today".

Our Lieutenant Governor is scheduled to announce "the next step" in the fight against the U.S. Government over the transgender directive.  Awesome! So we're going to waste time and money on this now, right?

Here's the problem, Texas was just hit with awful flooding again. Texas will have to ask the government for Federal Disaster Aid.  This brings up the question, how many times can we give the finger to the U.S. Government and still expect to have our needs met?

This is getting ridiculous. Our Texas leaders continue to provoke the U.S. Government, then turn around and ask for help. One day, the government is going to say "no".  It's not tricky.  Abbot & Patrick say they're willing to lose Federal Education funds to fight this fight. Think about that. They are saying "we are willing to seriously impact your child's education in order to make Brownie Points with our conservative voter base". It's that simple, and it's sick.

My thoughts are with the good Texans who are victims of the recent floods. I hope that Abbott and Patrick don't cost you the funds you need to rebuild.
