Lubbock Has Only Itself To Blame For Number 1 STD Rating

You can only remain ignorant for so long. Eventually, facts are going to come forward to smack you in the head, then look you in the eyes and say 'quit being stupid.'

Lubbock is no. 1 in the nation in cases of rottencrotch. Yes, STDs.

Our outwardly conservative and often religiously-based attitudes about sex are leading to more and more people getting the drippy pee-pees. It's gotten so bad that Everything Lubbock is reporting we may even lose what little funding we have for prevention because or it.

The cases of STDs are not because of the air here. They are not because we grow cotton or like eating barbecue. There is NOTHING you can blame this on other than good, old-fashioned, stick-up-the-ass ignorance.

People have sex. It's a primal urge. That fact must be recognized and we must focus on education. We must have real talks and real solutions. Abstinence only and/or no education has not and will not work. It's been proven to be ineffective over and over and over again. Your kids are going to have sex. You can either deal with that fact, or you can have an STD or a new baby in the house. It just seems so much easier to be honest and truthful than backwards and ignorant.

But wait, there's more! I had held this blog back until after the X-Fest show, but before I even got a chance to publish it news came out that the STATE OF TEXAS has issued a SYPHILIS ALERT for Lubbock County. Damn Daniel! Syphilis cases are up three times -- from eight cases in the first four months of 2015 to 24 cases in the same time period this year.
