Lubbock Lowery Field Ready In Time For Football Season?

Everyday as I pass Lowery Field, I find myself wondering if the LISD will have the project finished in time for the upcoming football season. I remember the year they started work on the field, when they tore the parking lot up the week before the city track meet. The following week they started tearing up the field, just in time for the Lubbock District track meet.

That was nearly a year and half ago, and from what I can tell, they are not much further along now than they were back then.

With that on my mind today, I decided to ask some questions of some folks over at LISD, and found out that the score board is set to go up this week, and if all goes according to plan, the stadium will be host to games this season.

The only catch is there will be temporary dressing rooms and a temporary press box, everything else "should be ready."
