The Lubbock Police Department has identified the driver of a car that crashed into a home in Lubbock early Thursday (May 21) morning.

Lubbock resident Brandon James Barber, 21, was driving his car on the 4300 block of 48th Street around 2 a.m. when he crashed into the porch of a house.

After the crash, Barber attempted to flee, but was pulled over just a few blocks away from the crash site.

EMS was not called to the scene. Police arrested Barber and booked him in to the Lubbock County Detention Center. Barber is being charged with DWI.
