Mother of Lubbock Murder Victim Has Strong Words for Convicted Killer

Vanessa Alcorte's mother referred to convicted killer Matthew Leon Torrez as "garbage" and said she would marry the devil so she could make him miserable for eternity.

Everythinglubbock reports that Alcorte's mother made the statements in court Monday morning (September 14) as part of a victim impact statement.

Torrez was formally sentenced to 50 years in prison after pleading guilty to the murder back on August 31. The victim's family was not available to give a victim impact statement that day, so Alcorte's mother unleashed on Torrez, adding that she hopes he rots in hell.

Torrez admitted that on May 26, 2014 he shot Alcorte. Her body was eventually found in a car near 2802 North Quaker Avenue.
