Anyone who lives in Lubbock county has certainly heard the tragic events that have been the real life living nightmare of the family of Mark Anthony Ysasaga over the past three years.

A few weeks ago the news broke that an informant had given a tip to Crime Line which lead to the search for Mark Anthony, along with the discovery of his body.

More details revealed the tip was called in by a person of interest, who was at the time of the call in police custody for another crime. This chain of events resulted in that person collecting the reward money for the information, $2,500 of which was raised by the Ysasaga family.

In the past weeks there was yet another report of people going door to door claiming to be collecting donations for the family to help the family lay their beloved son to rest, which later turned out to be false, these people are capitalizing on this family's nightmare.

On the heels of this news members of the Lubbock music community have decided to come together and do a benefit concert for the family and will hand deliver 100% of the donations to the family.

The benefit concert and silent auction will take this place Sunday, July 12, at Backstage Lubbock. More details can be found on the benefit Facebook page.
