Late Sunday afternoon, Lubbock Police were called out to the Hi Plains Apartments in the 1600 block of Iola Avenue to investigate a possible burglary.  When officers arrived on the scene, they found a woman standing outside of the apartment unit in question.

The suspect gave police a false name, but they were able to determine her real identity and find out a warrant was out for her arrest. 30 year-old Sheena Leann Ellingson was arrested at the scene and police found numerous credit cards and I.D. cards in her possession that were not her's.

Ellingson was booked into the Lubbock County Jail and charged with a number of felonies and misdemeanors.  The felonies included: were Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information, a first-degree felony; Forgery, a second-degree felony and Credit Card/Debit Card Abuse. Also, Ellingson was wanted on a warrant for a third-degree felony of Forgery and a Parole Violation.

Lubbock Police state they are continuing their investigation into Ellingson's activities and that detectives will attempt to locate the victims involved in the identity theft.
