Lubbock’s Hatch Green Chile Fest Gets an Extension

Due to customer demand, United Supermarket, Market Street and Amigos will extend weekend roasting of Hatch green chiles through this Saturday and Sunday (August 29 and 30) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Chiles smell wonderful and add a perfect accent to upcoming fall and winter dishes. They're available in mild and hot, but keep in mind that hot is just that: hot!

Also remember that prep goes past just buying a ziplock bag full of them and tossing them in the fridge. Properly prepare and store your green chiles to avoid spoiling.
