New York-based Madball is bringing East Coast hardcore to the South Plains for a brutal show.

Madball will hit Backstage Lubbock on Friday, September 23. Good thing, too -- you'll need the whole weekend to recover from the band's insane set that guarantees a non-stop mosh pit.

If you're not already familiar with Madball, the band has been tearing it up for around 30 years. The band started with members of the legendary Agnostic Front in the late 80s, including Roger Miret. At the time, Madball's vocalist Freddy Cricien (who was Miret's half-brother) was only 12 years old.

The band released its latest record, "Hardcore Lives," in 2014.

Madball's current lineup is: Freddy Cricien (vocals); Jorge "Hoya Roc" Guerra (bass); Brian "Mitts" Daniels (guitar); Mike Justian (drums).

Tickets to the show are on sale now. Power Trip, Judiciary and Dirtnap will open the show.
