Weed is legal in Colorado. New Mexico is looking at the issue hard. An announcement about some type of "legal medical marijuana" is supposed to come out of New York.  What we have here is a revolution.

If you haven't noticed, no one in our government seems to be a "representative" any more.  I always thought a "representative" meant an elected official would take the wishes of his/her constituents to Washington.  These days, they don't seem to care about the people, but only about their parties.  Add to this fact that apparently no one in Washington has the balls to stand up and say "marijuana should be legal", and it's easy to say that the people have spoken.

People at the grass roots and state levels have been working for decades to change the silly drug war prohibitions against pot.  It's worked and now it is an absolute embarrassment that our leaders on a national level have not acted on this issue.  From this point forward it's just dominoes falling.  The states that legalize pot will see great economic benefits and the states that don't will see their citizens leave for literally "greener pastures".

What is going to be really interesting to me is those companies that thought they'd wave the flag of the drug war and start testing employees and applicants.  I've always found it embarrassing that a company would buy into the nonsense so much that it might fire or not hire a great employee because of what they do in their free time.
So how about you?  Are you ready for legal weed?
