Dallas Cowboys fans were obviously given a shock last weekend when general Tony Romo went down with a broken clavicle. Romo's absence has left many wondering whether Brandon Weeden is ready for primetime. Dallas went out and acquired Matt Cassel to bolster the position.

Now, the reported decision of bringing the former Buffalo Bill was to back up Weeden, as they feel he's still the best fit during Romo's downtime. Romo will be eligible to return in two months' time.

The Cowboys traded away a 2017 fifth-round pick for Cassel and a 2017 seventh-round pick, which seems like a steal for the Cowboys if Cassel is worth his salt.

Time will more than likely tell...
