Matt Kenseth was able to hold off Martin Truex, Jr. to cut into Brad Kesolowski's Chase for the Sprint Cup lead with four weeks left.

Next week we go to Martinsville, which should be a complete shootout.

However, this week belonged to Kenseth, though there were some other very strong cars in the field.

The new pavement of the Kansas Speedway caused a lot of problems for many drivers, yet many held on to finish.

Jimmie Johnson finished 9th, Gordon finished 10th, points leader Brad Kesolowski finished 8th and perhaps the fastest driver today, Kasey Kahne finished 4th.

We'll see what happens next week at the Paperclip in Virginia.
