The United Family of Supermarkets and Mrs Baird’s Bread announced the May winners of the third annual Teachers On The Rise program on Tuesday. May's winners is the final group of teachers to be honored for the 2014-2015 school year.

The three May winners are: Deborah Sanders of Hardwick Elementary in Lubbock ISD, Cory Axton of Irons Middle School in Lubbock ISD and Sallye Lyles of Floydada High School in Floydada ISD.

“We are extremely proud to honor these incredible teachers for their dedication and involvement in creating a brighter future for our youth,” said Shelby Crews, senior community relations manager for The United Family. “The Teachers On The Rise program is a crucial opportunity to recognize and reward educators who go above and beyond every day.”

Winning teachers receive a $100 United Supermarkets/Market Street/Amigos gift card and a $100 VISA gift card. The student who nominates a winning teacher also receives a $50 VISA gift card.

The Teachers On The Rise Program will hold a banquet in June to recognize all the winners selected during the 2014-2015 school year.
