Meet The First Female Official In The NFL

The past few years the NFL has had more than its share of drama and controversy.

This past season it seemed like the league spent a great deal of time trying to not only enforce some long overdue standards for player conduct, but to also try to appeal to and win back female fans who were outraged by the actions (and lack of by league officials) of certain players.

Perhaps in another attempt to prove to fans they are serious about making changes the NFL announced they have hired Sarah Thomas as the first ever full time official.
