Metallica played a small, four-song, acoustic set at the MusiCares MAP Fund Benefit in L.A. Monday night, a show that brought in proceeds that will go directly to addiction recovery treatment for musicians everywhere.

From Rare Earth, to The Beatles, to Ozzy, to Deep Purple, Metallica covered it Monday night at Club Nokia in the name of charity. That's pretty cool. Video for the cover of "Diary of a Madman" can be seen below.

It's very cool to see bands do this kind of thing for not only the fraternity of musicians, but the overall community as well.
