Happy Halloween and happy "Atlas, Rise!" day! Metallica made good on their promise to release a new song on Halloween, with "Atlas, Rise!" being the third new song to come from their Hardwired ... to Self Destruct album. You can hear it in the player above.

As you can hear, it's another epic track from the mighty Metallica, giving a solid, driving and lengthy instrumental introduction before James Hetfield's vocals kick in. The track itself is full of driving guitar, Hetfield's powerful vocals and Lars Ulrich keeping a high energy beat. Overall, it sounds like a perfect fit for Metallica's stage show.

"Atlas, Rise!" follows in the footsteps of the high energy rocker "Hardwired" and the equally impressive follow-up single "Moth Into Flame," with both tracks already hitting the Top 10 at radio. The Hardwired ... to Self Destruct album is due Nov. 18 via the band's own Blackened Recordings label and it's currently available to pre-order in a variety of bundle options at this location.

Metallica are in the process of mapping out their 2017 tour plans. The band has already discussed the idea of returning to the road for a full-fledged album support tour and dates are starting to fill in, with trips to South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Denmark and South America already booked. Plus there are still dates remaining in 2016. To see where they are playing, click here.
