As stated in my earlier post this week, Metallica was rumored to perform for Mariano Rivera's last game in Yankee Stadium, and those rumors were officially confirmed on Sunday afternoon.

Sporting pinstripes on their backs, amps, and picks, the 'Tallica boys ripped through "Enter Sandman" for the Yankee faithful on Sunday. Mariano Rivera comes out to relieve pitchers for the Yanks to the 1991 smash hit almost every game.

The celebration of Rivera's career with New York was capped off with a jersey presentation to Rivera with Metallica sprawled across the front, Sandman on the back, and those classic Yankee pinstripes.

Check out a clip of the performance.
