Metallica Set To Play First Chinese Gig Ever

It's hard to believe, but it's a fact: Metallica has never played a show in China. Let that sink it. One of the biggest bands ever hasn't been to one of the most populated places ever. That's insane.

The show won't be until August 13, later this year, but tickets go on sale (and aren't expected to be available long) on June 7.

The show will be held at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China, a place that has a municipal population of over 23 million.
